Chowder is a thick soup with vegetables or seafood, (thickened with starch products – crackers, potatoes) Its very popular in northeastern America – USA and Canada. The proposed recipe is with potatoes, corn and red pepper.

Peel and cut the potatoes into cubes. Cut the peppers and celery in the same manner and onion and garlic finely.

Boil 1/3 of potatoes in 600 ml of broth . And puree until smooth .

Add more broth if necessary. When the mixture is cooled slightly. Add milk and cream cheese and mix through.

In another saucepan, heat olive oil and saute onion and garlic until tender. Add the potatoes and celery and stir gently.

When the potatoes are semi cooked add peppers, corn and mashed potatoes. Simmer on low heat until the potato cubes are cooked completely. Add the rest of the broth to adjust the density as desired.

Season with salt and pepper. If you like, add a little cayenne pepper.
