Brussels sprouts with parmegano


  • 6 cups Brussels sprouts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 5 slices of ham, cut in strips
  • 1 cup parmegano cheese
  • Salt & Pepper

Preheat the oven to 180°C

In a big saucepan bring 8 cups of water to the boil and blanch the sprouts for 3 minutes. Rinse the sprouts in cold water to stop them from further cooking and drain.

Sauté the onions in the preheated olive oil. Add the Brussels sprouts and garlic and cook for another 5 minutes. Take the pan off the heat.

Sprinkle half of the parmesan cheese over of the sprouts and mix until it melts. Add salt and pepper.

Pour the mixture into a baking tray and sprinkle the rest of the cheese over it. Bake in a preheated oven for 20 minutes until the cheese has melted and the sprouts are softened.
